Bloated, Irregular, or Just Off? Red Oak, Let's Look at Your Gut

Red Oak is about 8 miles north of us (straight line), up I-35E. That makes our Waxahachie clinic one of the closest functional medicine options for you, even though we don't have an office in Red Oak itself. You can also do the whole process by telehealth.

Signs your gut deserves a closer look
- You're bloated by mid-afternoon most days
- Your bathroom habits swing between extremes
- Certain foods seem to "set you off," but you can't tell which
- Skin, mood or energy dips seem to track with digestion
None of these mean anything specific on their own. Together, they're worth investigating.
Why I test instead of guess
Guessing usually means elimination diets that drag on for months. The GI-MAP stool test gives us a picture of bacteria, yeast, possible parasites and digestion markers. You collect it at home. If the bloating looks like small-intestine overgrowth, SIBO testing with the same GI-MAP stool test is available as well. When results come back, we review them together and set priorities.
If parasites show up, or your history strongly suggests them, our parasite cleanse is a structured, staged protocol, not a random handful of herbs.
What a gut plan usually includes
A short list of targeted supplements, food changes that are realistic, and check-ins so we can adjust. When gut and hormone symptoms overlap, I may add the DUTCH test.
What a gut patient told us
"Dr. Ward's knowledge of gut issues is truly amazing." Charlotte, from our patient success stories
