How to Complete the Full Moon Parasite Cleanse
If this is your first parasite cleanse, stick to the Beginner challenge (3 days). Supposing that you’ve done a parasite cleanse before, you can do the Intermediate challenge (5 days). If you are a seasoned cleanser, contact us before starting the Advanced cleanse.
Beginner Cleanse – 3 days
We recommend the 3-day cleanse for anyone who is doing the cleanse for the first time.
Intermediate Cleanse – 5 days
If you’ve already done the 3-day parasite cleanse and your body is used to regular cleanses, the 5-day cleanse is for you. As always, consult your doctor before starting the cleanse.
How to Support Your Body During the Cleanse
Besides taking the botanicals to kill these bugs, there are a few other things you can do for a successful cleanse. Let’s talk about diet, physical activity, and sleep during the full moon cleanse.
Parasites depend on the body for nourishment and their fuel of choice is sugar – Parasites LOVE sugar. They thrive off of glucose-rich blood to function, which can trigger carb cravings. So during this cleanse, I want you to avoid foods with high sugar content. Depriving parasites of their fuel source will help you clear them out more easily and lessen die-off symptoms. Remember to check food labels and watch your sugar intake during this time. Here are some common hidden high-sugar foods to avoid:
- Bagels and muffins
- BBQ sauce
- Dried fruit
- Flavored coffee
- Flavored oatmeal
- Frozen meals
- Fruit juice
- Granola bars
- Processed meats
- Protein bars
- Sports drinks
Along with diet adjustments, physical activity will help you manage what we call “die-off symptoms” during a full moon. Low impact exercise is best, like walking or yoga. Physical movement can also support drainage, including the lymphatic system. When the body is draining well, it helps lessen uncomfortable detox symptoms or reabsorbing toxins in the body. Also, yoga helps raise GABA levels, which in turn, helps mood!
You can get extra support for your lymphatic drainage system by following our lymph health recommendations.
The last essential area during the full moon – and detox – is sleep to help the body recover and support vital detox functions. Sleep is often affected during a full moon. Practice good sleep hygiene habits like avoiding screens before bed and keeping to a consistent sleep schedule. Certain essential oils, like lavender, can also encourage healthy sleep.
Let us know if you do not sleep well. We may consider adding slow release melatonin to your supplements to help you fall asleep.
What Symptoms to Expect
As mentioned earlier, you may experience emotional or mental upheaval every month with the full moon – and cleansing can make things a little worse before they feel better. Here is a list of symptoms to look for that may tell us you are having a hard time detoxing. These are expected in a mild or moderate amount, but contact us if they are severe.
- Excess gas and bloating
- Constipation, if this persists for more than 24 hours, let us know. If you’re frequently constipated, we recommend CellCore’s Bowel Mover.
- Loose stools
- Irritable mood
- Skin breakouts
You want to make sure your drainage pathways are open to release the toxins throughout the cleanse. To learn more about drainage pathways and how to unblock your lymphatic system before you start this cleanse, learn about lymph health and do the Lymphatic Drainage Program.
Please know that results vary person to person. Consult your doctor for any questions about the cleanse and your wellness plan.
