Whole-Body Anxiety Support for Dallas, Alongside Your Care Team
Let me be clear up front, because it matters when you're searching for help with anxiety in Dallas: I'm not a psychotherapist, and I don't prescribe psychiatric medication. If you need counseling or medication, you deserve a licensed therapist or psychiatrist, and I'll encourage you to keep working with them.
What I offer is the other half of the picture, the one that often gets skipped: the body. Blood sugar swings, poor sleep, gut problems, hormone shifts, nutrient gaps, and overloaded stress chemistry can all turn the volume up on anxious feelings. When we find and support those pieces, many people find the work they're doing in therapy gets easier to sustain.

Which Kind of Help Are You Looking For?
| If you want… | Look for… | Where I fit |
|---|---|---|
| Talk therapy, CBT, or trauma work | A licensed therapist or counselor | I work alongside them |
| Medication evaluation | A psychiatrist or your primary care doctor | I don't prescribe; I coordinate if you'd like |
| To understand body-based contributors | A functional medicine practitioner | This is my work |
If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Body Factors I Look At
- Blood sugar. A mid-morning crash can feel a lot like panic: shaky, sweaty, heart racing. Meal structure often helps more than people expect.
- Caffeine and alcohol. Both are common, and both affect sleep and the stress response.
- Sleep. Short or broken sleep makes the nervous system more reactive the next day.
- The gut. The gut and brain are in constant communication. Digestive symptoms and anxious feelings often travel together in my patients.
- Hormones and thyroid. Cycle-related changes, perimenopause, and thyroid patterns can all show up as anxiety.
- Nutrients. Magnesium, B vitamins, iron, and vitamin D are some of the markers I review.
- Stress chemistry. The DUTCH test maps your cortisol rhythm across the day, which helps us time support.

Anxiety Questions From Dallas Searchers
Do you offer anxiety therapy in Dallas? I don't provide psychotherapy. I provide functional medicine support (testing, nutrition, sleep, and stress physiology) by telehealth, and I'm happy to work alongside your Dallas therapist.
Can you prescribe anxiety medication? No. Medication decisions belong with your psychiatrist or primary care doctor. If you take medication, I make sure any supplements I suggest are reviewed against it, and I never ask you to stop a prescription.
What is a functional approach to anxiety? It looks for physical contributors, such as blood sugar, sleep, gut health, hormones, thyroid, and nutrients, that can intensify anxious feelings, and builds a plan around what we find.
Can this help with panic attacks? I can't promise that, and panic attacks deserve evaluation by a medical provider. Many people find that steadier blood sugar, better sleep, and nervous-system tools make their days feel more manageable. Those are the areas we work on together.
Do I need to come to an office? No. Everything can be done by video from home. If you'd rather meet in person, our clinic is in Waxahachie, about 30 miles south of downtown Dallas.
