FIBROMYALGIA
Although in Western Medicine the cause is looked at as unknown, researchers link this condition to parasitic infections, dental amalgam fillings, hormone imbalances, viral or parasitic infection, neurotransmitter imbalances, sleep problems, problems glands, and physical trauma. Other factors that can play a role include chemical and food allergies and sensitivities, chronic stress, and dysfunctions in muscle metabolism. Breast implants can also contribute to Fibromyalgia because the materials implants contain weaken the body’s immune system. Fibromyalgia is also linked to a low pH in the body, a poor diet, mineral deficiencies, toxic intestines and a toxic liver.
Conventional medicine has achieved limited success in treating Fibromyalgia, and in many cases conventional physicians fail to detect it. Some patients have been told it is a physiological disorder of depression and it’s “all in their head”. There is hope!
In Oriental medicine, the liver governs the muscles. Often times, liver detoxification and purification programs along with Acupuncture are highly recommended in Fibromyalgia patients.
