Brooke Carter, our resident Health & Life Coach shares a success story from one of our patients in The Infinity Way™ 3-Month Program – which includes labs, doctor visits, customized protocols, nutrition therapy, and weekly mindset coaching sessions. Names have been changed for anonymity.

We have found that it is impossible to heal the body without also including the mind. And many times patients come to Infinity Wellness Center overwhelmed, exhausted, and suffering from brain fog. Many have been to 8+ doctors and are at the end of their rope. They want to make health changes and do the things they need to, but it just feels like too much. Mentally, it can be overwhelming, and often feels impossible to accomplish healing after years of suffering. Dr. Wards has recognized this over the years, and that’s where I came in – I’m a certified Life & Health Coach and I love helping patients get from hopeless to healing.

This was 100% the case with Sarah. She came to us after contracting COVID and finding herself almost a year post-covid with lingering debilitating symptoms.

On a 1-10 rating system, with 10 being the worst, her starting symptoms were:
Loose Stools – 9
Fatigue – 10
Body Aches – 8
Weight Gain – 7
Thinning Hair – 9

I met Sarah in July to discuss her challenges and goals as she began The Infinity Way™ 3-Month Program. In our first session, Sarah explained to me that her energy levels were VERY low, she felt poorly overall, and she always felt hungry even after eating. She just wanted to feel better, to feel normal again, and to do more things – her low energy prevented her from accomplishing basic tasks and activities.

She had seen many doctors before Dr. Wards – doctors that told her to simply eat well and stress less. She was lost on what that actually meant, and too tired to try anything new. She felt defeated and confused. Dr. Wards laid out a specific and clear protocol for food and nutrients to begin her healing process. Sarah had hope and was excited that she could heal with these changes, but mentally felt stuck and unable to move forward. She was so ill, she was in fear of losing her job. That’s when we started having coaching sessions together.

We immediately got to work discussing her thought processes and current mindset during our weekly coaching sessions. I understand this process, I’ve been through it. When you do not feel well, it is beyond hard to focus on new routines and protocols. Fatigue, pain, and tummy issues can easily become all encompassing.

Our process included mindful practices, accountability and self-care. We worked through blocks on perfectionism and overthinking. We established a mental rehearsal and together we decided on 2-3 obtainable Action Steps at the end of each session. Over the course of our time together, I noticed huge shifts in Sarah.

Within only one week, she was already feeling much better. She was able to change her mindset around food – focusing on what she could eat instead of obsessing over what she couldn’t. She told me she started waking up positive and hopeful. This was a MAJOR mindset shift in a short amount of time.

Healing is not easy. There are ups and downs. During times of upset or disappointment, Sarah was able to utilize the tools we practiced: learning to recognize the feelings as they come up and observe what the cause of upset was instead of being swept away by them. She started the shift towards gratitude for what she DOES have, rather than succumbing to disappointment in lack.

By the end of our 3 months together, Sarah reported that she felt much better. She was not always hungry because she had learned the right foods for HER, and she had “amazing” levels of energy to do more things. She was working out again, experiencing gratitude regularly, and living with a positive outlook. Sarah was able to recognize that mindset was a HUGE part of her healing experience, and when she shifted that, everything changed. Having the support and accountability of the program made all the difference.

When she completed our 3-month program, Sarah was a different person. She told us that she feels like she got her life back! Her mother recently came to visit her and asked that she thank us personally on behalf of her. We couldn’t be more thrilled with her progress!

Ending our program, her symptom ratings were as follows:
Loose Stools – 2
Fatigue – 0
Body Aches – 0
Weight Gain – 0
Thinning Hair – 3

There is still some work to do, there are always opportunities to tweak nutrition and stress. But overall Sarah is happy, healthy, and vibrant again! Sarah chose to continue her work with myself and Dr. Wards on an ongoing as needed basis. We expect all of her symptoms to be zeros in no time!

I am so grateful and blessed to do this work with patients alongside an amazing team of practitioners who are heart centered and focused on healing all parts of oneself – mind, body and spirit.
